Pastors Rory J. Sr & Char Cobbs
Pastor Rory believes and teaches that the Word is the inerrant inspired Word of God. His messages are Holy Spirit led and delivered with love, compassion and without apology. Being with people during life’s hardships is a commitment he made when he decided to Pastor. Hospital visits, home visits, and all kinds of aid to his flock are his priority. His heart is to give people the tools that they need to discover and grow in their gifts and talents and then make room for them to be trained to do the work of the ministry. Many have found a purpose and place to serve in this body of Christ. Pastor Rory knows who he is, strengths and weaknesses, so he functions without comparison or competition which gives freedom to others to excel in their strengths with confidence. He believes in “teamwork”! He honors his servant leaders and those who pour into him.
Pastor Char has a deep abiding love for people. She teaches with a practical style lessons that can easily be applied to everyday life. Pastor Char is gifted in relationship building and cares so much for people to be transformed by the renewing of their mind, that she will radically risk to help people come to an honest, open, friendship with God and the people of His Kingdom. She is passionate for Sunday School to be an exciting environment where children learn about the God who never leaves them and that He loves them unconditionally. She oversees our community support programs, hospitality ministry, Oasis Women's Ministry, and special events.
Pastor Steve Yeaple & Sue Yeaple
Pastor Steve is the Administrative Pastor for NBWC. The Yeaples oversee the Joy Ministry Group . Pastor Steve teaches Adult Sunday School and also preaches Sunday Mornings from time to time. A man of deep faith and character, Steve prays like no one can, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, about ANYTHING. If you need the prayer of a righteous man, Steve is the man to pray with you! Pastor Steve is a man of compassion and encouragement.
Sue organizes volunteers for Greeters. If you need a hug or just someone to listen to you, she is your gal. She also keeps all records updated on church members, does all CD and DVD duplication and organizes luncheons for our seniors. Sue is also a Harbor Group Leader for our Oasis Women's Ministry.
Pastor R.J. Cobbs Jr.
Pastor R.J. was in his second year of University when he answered God's calling on his life and said yes to attend Master's Commission in Atlanta, Georgia led by Jeanne Mayo. He studied there for three years and completed a one year internship at The Tabernacle. He returned to NBWC and became the Youth Pastor of Collision Youth Ministries and G3 Young Adult Ministries.
Pastor R.J. is a talented worship leader and has a passion for unchurched youth. His strength is bringing a sense of family and a father's heart to those who come to group. He teaches that the only thing that brings true stability and security to a person's life is when there is a "Collision" with their Creator that changes them from the inside out. Once they have had that authentic encounter, the change in them impacts their world, and that is what draws others to desire the same experience.
